People widely regard Mike Tyson as one of the best heavyweights to have emerged in boxing. Furthermore, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion when he was just 20 years old. Tyson’s rise to fame involved a lot of controversies, which earned him the infamous title of “Baddest man on the planet.”

People consider Tyson’s rematch fight against Evander Holyfield as the most controversial fight in the history of boxing. Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear twice during the fight, which stopped the fight. However, even after the fight ended, Tyson continued to try and attack Holyfield because he had lost his cool. Multiple Las Vegas police officers restrained Mike Tyson inside the ring as he charged towards Holyfield subsequently. After the fight, the press asked the Las Vegas Police if they were protecting Tyson from making a comment. However, the Las Vegas Police stated, “No, we are here to protect the press from Mike.”

Holyfield was able to KO Tyson in the 11th round of their first fight, and Tyson secured the rematch seven months later. In their rematch, Holyfield dominated the initial rounds, but Tyson was able to set the stage slowly. Subsequently, Holyfield headbutted Tyson, which caused a cut to his right eye and made him furious.

In the following round, Tyson appeared more aggressive as he swung hard punches in an attempt to KO Holyfield. Furthermore, Holyfield began to clinch Tyson during his attacks, and this led to Tyson biting Holyfield’s right ear. Subsequently, the fight resumed, but when Holyfield again clinched Mike Tyson, he bit Holyfield’s left ear, which stopped the fight.
